Colloidal Silver Pityriasis Rosea

LÄNGFLUH SWISS ALPS (1 ª PART). HOHS UP TO SHELTER. SWISS ALPS

After two years, for various reasons we could not go to Alpine this year we left in August my brother and I to the Canton of Valais, specifically the valley of Saas, a place where the ski resorts of Saas Grund and Saas Fee, the latter known as the pearl of the Alps.

This area is surrounded by glaciers and in the same 14 peaks rise more than four thousand meters, some "easy" to climb as the Allalinhorn, and others rather more complicated, like the Dom

From the Sierra de Madrid to Saas Grund must travel to the tune of 1765 miles by car, so very early morning we headed for the "Sierra Switzerland" and 200 km before reaching our destination, we realize that we are already late and we carry the last three hours drive from night and raining, so we decided to stop at a service station to sleep. This year, due to the crisis, we changed the five-star hotels on the boot of the car, jejejejeje.

The next morning we got coming soon, we left the village of Saas Grund and before going to the tourist office to buy a map better than we have, we end up not quite knowing for at the cemetery. (Jooooder, we started well.)

clarify some doubts and decided to try first and Lagginhorn Weissmies, located to the left of the Saas Valley and a view review is not very difficult to climb.

As long as we prefer to walk up to the shelter without using the lifts. This is a good way to acclimatize to the altitude as well that not everything in the mountain's summit, the climb to the shelters is a part as interesting as the way to the top of it.

At ten o'clock we all set to start walking. We went to the shelter by Hoss (which, as is customary in us, we made a reservation) which is 3,200 meters. altitude, it 's chilly, it starts to rain without interruption and ahead of 1600 meters of altitude to save all This backpack loaded with more than twenty kilos on his back.

Oscar says the gondola, as if to say: Now that no one sees us, "we could get it, no?.

leave behind Saas Grund with typical Swiss houses.

Then we catch up and begin to see the people from another perspective.

Photobucket

Let a small path well marked where you can see Oscar's backpack leads to burst. Once in the shelter, we gossip and carries a backpack full of newsprint. The old trick for when you say, can you lead rope in your backpack, is that I carry my butt?, to which he responds: I can not get no map.

After a while you begin to walk clears and you have to remove clothing. In the background, Saas Fee and all the streams that flow to the people.

Photobucket

Trifalp crossed the village, which can not be reached by car. In winter, this town should be covered with snow. We called attention to the boards they use for the roofs of these houses and to be ponderous.

Photobucket

Seeing these houses in the mountains, expect any when you go Heidi and her grandfather, one of them.

This wood has provisions for the winter.

the edge of the road.

out of town to see that Oscar's eyes light up, he puts a smile on her face despite the pack leaps for joy. Have you seen what he believes is a bar on holiday, is based on it, and says, "Bartender, TWO WITH COCA COLA Brugal, PLIS.

The trail crosses several times below the gondola.

Photobucket

Marmots are along the entire route. Some are tame and eat together.

Photobucket

Crossing one of the many streams that we are.

Atop Weissmies shelter.

Photobucket

Weissmies Refuge at 2726 meters above sea level and 110 seats. At the door of the only one climber with whom we chatted a while and took the opportunity to eat and warm clothes.

Photobucket

ascend to the shelter to take a look and I'm surprised it is completely empty. Apparently these Swiss do not like walking, and this shelter is located near the lifts.

Photobucket

clouds start coming up the valley at full speed, so you have to hurry if we want to get wet.

Photobucket

Impossible. After a while it starts raining and before we get to our shelter as a soup.

Photobucket

Hohsaas Refuge at 3200 meters and a capacity of 76 people. In the background you can see the Glacier Peak Weissmies Trift and cover the top of a cloud, which try to go tomorrow.

The refuge is cafeteria typical ski resort, close to the ski lift and the rooms below it. It's all very new and clean, within the warmth makes the view through their windows are spectacular, but it lacks the spirit of mountaineering.

Photobucket

Triftgletscher or what is, Trift Glacier. For here we have to go tomorrow.

Photobucket

Details of the glacier, which in its lower area is completely destroyed and huge cracks.

Weissmies ascent route. In the photograph below to the left, you can see the path to take.

Photobucket

At eight o'clock in the afternoon, a window of good weather and you can see the top. Seeing this picture seems impossible that these giant ice walls can be attached to the rock and not collapse.

Photobucket

Another fotillo the Weissmies.

Photobucket

The shelter has eight or ten rooms of ten people each, all wood-lined, very clean and cozy, but still lacks that spirit mountaineer other mountain huts.

As we have uploaded loads of food, we take only the overnight and the grub is prepared by the Arguiñano of the mountains. The delicious meal is composed of:
- Iberian Pork Pie with Fine Herbs.
- Fresh pasta with porcini cream sauce flavored.
- Bites cereal and raisins.
- Mousses and creamy souffle berries.
- All washed down with fresh water from glacier Swiss Trift with soft touches of lemon.

menu translation for the low skilled in the art:
- Fuet in Tarradellas House bar.
- Maggi pasta envelopes.
- Energy bars Decathlon.
- Gel Powebar energy.
- and tap water pill Isostar.

After such a feast one goes to bed ready to rest, tomorrow we leave for a hard day.
