Cannavaro already has its 'Golden Ball'
Italian defender for Real Madrid, Fabio Cannavaro, has already received the 'Golden Ball' award given by the magazine 'France Football' and credited as the best player of the year Europe. Alpine defender, champion of the world by selecting 'Azzurri' in Germany in 2006, received recognition in the magazine's headquarters in Paris gala happening in the record by Barca Ronaldinho.
Cannavaro scored a total of 173 votes, 124, 121, Buffon and Henry, while behind were long gone and Ronaldinho (73) and Zidane (71), fourth and fifth, respectively.
Cannavaro becomes the fourth Italian player to accomplish, after Rivera (1969), Rossi (1982) and Baggio (1993) and the seventh who plays for Real Madrid after Di Stefano (1957 and 1959), Kopa (1958), Ronaldo (1997 and 2002), Zidane (1998), Figo (2000) and Owen (2001)
